SEE IT ON SCREEN GOES GLOBAL

Ice Melts and Out Of Town Entered into International Film Festivals

July 19th 2021

See It On Screen, Scotland’s newest independent film production company, has announced the entry of its debut films, Ice Melts and Out Of Town, into several major film festivals around the globe.

Until now, See It On Screen has been working hard building a community-based team of creatives and technicians to create the films which are premiering this Thursday at The Neighbourgood Market in Stockbridge.  Now, attention is turning to giving those who have been involved all possible further exposure to help launch or further establish them in the film world.

As well as festivals based in Scotland such as Edinburgh Short Film Festival, See It On Screen has set its sights on showing the rest of the world what it can do by entering Raindance, London, Encounters, Bristol, the Independent Film Awards in London and Orlando Film Festivals.

Hester Middleton, founder of See It On Screen and producer of both films, explained “Many talented and committed people have given us so much support in the creation of these films.  It’s now time to showcase their talents to the world.

“We may be a small, community-based production company at the moment - and we hope that our Summer Premiere event on Thursday is seen as a reflection of our roots - but we are determined that that will not impact our ambition and aspiration to become a globally recognised producer of high quality, original films, and a vehicle on which emerging, local talent can become global stars.”

Archie Middleton, Director and the creative force behind both films, added “Our Summer Premiere is shaping up to be a fantastic event and one which will rightly demonstrate to our own community what a group of capable and committed local people can achieve.

“But this represents just the start of our plans to showcase our work to the whole world.  We aim to build on Scotland’s growing reputation as a hub for creative arts and to turn our own emerging talent from locally respected creatives into globally successful stars.”

Trailers for Summer Premiere now showing

July 15th 2021

Scotland’s newest independent film production company, See It On Screen, launches its Website today, including trailers for its first two short films, Ice Melts and Out Of Town which are premiering at an outdoor screening at The Neighbourgood Market at Edinburgh Accies Rugby Club on Thursday 22nd July at 7pm.

Both films, Ice Melts (10 minutes) and Out Of Town (20 minutes), are original short stories written and directed by Archie Middleton, an Edinburgh-based graduate of MetFilm School in London, and have harnessed local and emerging talent and experienced crews to create the finished films.

Archie said “These films are my first published works as a professional and I am immensely proud of each and every member of the cast and crew who were involved in creating them.  It demonstrates clearly that there is real talent and ability all around us which just needs a chance to prosper.”

And See It On Screen is determined to continue unearthing new talent, give it the exposure it deserves and, with it, access to the film industry.

Hester Middleton, founder of See It On Screen and producer of both films, explained “We are committed to the idea that talent can be found anywhere and recognised on sight.  Archie has brought around him a team of dedicated individuals, all of whom are passionate about storytelling in film, some with film qualifications and some without.

“Through our website, SeeItOnScreen.com, we aim to build a community of film-interested friends and supporters, and to create opportunities to work in film for those who would not otherwise have access.

“We won’t charge anyone to see our films but we do hope that they will inspire our audience and other benefactors to support our future projects through donations.  In the meantime, I’d encourage everyone to check out the trailers on our website and come along to the premiere which promises to be a great evening out.”
